Bishops Castle

The Christmas Lights Festival culminates in the Christmas Lantern Procession from the Church to the top of town. The Procession provides one of the most distinctive sights of the Shropshire Christmas with the local children carrying candles and torches, accompanied by the Bishop’s Castle Drum and Bugle Band, and of course, Santa on his horse drawn sleigh.

This year’s Procession promises to be an even more exciting visual spectacle as the children at Bishop’s Castle Primary School will be working with clay to make pottery lanterns and torches.
